Job Summary
Coordinate procedure nursing for endoscopy services, performing assessments, developing individualized care plans, and implementing strategies to promote patient health and safety. Evaluate progress toward outcomes, communicate effectively with consumers and the multidisciplinary team, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives. Practice ethically in accordance with the American Nurses Association standards while integrating evidence-based research into daily care delivery. This full-time day shift role at NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island requires a registered nurse with a bachelor's degree and current NYS licensure. One year of endoscopy experience is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
- Registered Nurse License-NYS
- Current and valid BLS certification through the American Heart Association
- Current and valid ACLS and/or PALS and/or NRP
- Knowledge of standards of practice for all areas of patient care
- Excellent communication (oral and written)
- Organizational skills
- Customer service skills
- Interpersonal skills
- Basic computer skills
- 1 - 2 years of experience in Nursing
- Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
