Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, formulate and adjust care plans, and administer medications and IV therapy as prescribed. Provide health teaching using the Teach Back methodology, assist with activities of daily living, and ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Supervise team members and students, mentor new hires, and participate in discharge planning and performance improvement initiatives. Report pertinent findings up the chain of command and escalate patient concerns timely while documenting all findings. Maintain confidentiality, utilize SBAR communication, and adhere to professional standards. Requires BLS upon hire, de-escalation training within six months, and advanced dysrhythmia/EKG certification for telemetry units.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree
- Registered Nurse
- BLS upon hire
- De-Escalation Training within 6 months of hire
- Advanced Dysrhythmia/EKG (Med/Surg telemetry unit ONLY)
