Registered Nurse

Perform Apheresis procedures autonomously in critical care, emergency rooms, and outpatient centers, including plasma exchange, red cell exchange, leukapheresis, stem cell harvests, photopheresis, and therapeutic phlebotomies. Assess patient status relative to therapeutic apheresis using the nursing process and laboratory results, while evaluating medication compatibility and safety. Coordinate closely with physicians and nurses at various hospitals to arrange treatments and facilitate coordinated care. Act as a consultant to external health care personnel regarding clinical apheresis and perform venipunctures, central venous catheter access, and port management. Assemble, restock, QC, and maintain supplies and equipment to ensure a clean, safe, and efficient work environment. Variable 1st shift Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, with rotating on-call requirements.
