Job Summary
Assess, plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care for surgical patients by accepting assignments, conducting assessments, and administering medications per policy. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the clinical team regarding procedure expectations, discharge planning, and care changes. Document patient responses and interventions timely, perform post-op calls, and apply evidence-based practice to address age-specific clinical needs. Maintain a safe environment while making competent clinical decisions and involving management when necessary. Works in a constant state of alertness during day shifts with 40 weekly hours. Requires current RN license and BLS certification for Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, or Wisconsin.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Missouri Division of Professional Registration
- Registered Nurse (RN) Issued by Compact State
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Oklahoma Board of Nursing (OBN)
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services
