Job Summary
Assess, plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care for surgical patients by accepting assignments and conducting comprehensive assessments using subjective and objective data. Communicate effectively with patients to evaluate their understanding of procedures and expectations, while involving families in care plans, education, and discharge prioritization. Administer medications and interventions per policy, document responses timely, and perform post-operative calls to analyze verbal patient feedback. Make clinical decisions, demonstrate basic nursing skills, and intervene to maintain a safe environment based on evidence-based practice and age-specific needs. Provide timely updates to physicians regarding patient condition changes and involve management or team members as necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing
