Job Summary

Assess, plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care for surgical patients by accepting assignments and conducting patient assessments using subjective and objective data. Communicate effectively with patients to assess their knowledge of procedures, involve them in care plans, and document responses to interventions. Administer medications and treatments per policy, perform post-op calls, and provide timely updates to physicians regarding patient conditions. Apply evidence-based practice to ensure safe, age-specific surgical care while maintaining a constant state of alertness. Requires 24 hours weekly on a rotating day shift with on-call responsibilities; BLS and RN licensure in Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, or Wisconsin required.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing
  • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
  • Registered Nurse (RN) - Missouri Division of Professional Registration
  • Registered Nurse (RN) Issued by Compact State
  • Registered Nurse (RN) - Oklahoma Board of Nursing (OBN)
  • Registered Nurse (RN) - Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services

Desired Qualifications

  • Dialysis and/or procedural experience
