Job Summary
Assess, plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care for surgical patients by accepting assignments, conducting assessments, and communicating with clinical teams. Administer medications and treatments per policy while documenting patient responses and interventions. Educate patients and families on surgical procedures, discharge planning, and care priorities. Perform post-operative calls and analyze verbal responses to evaluate care effectiveness. Make competent clinical decisions, involve management when necessary, and assist in all surgical service areas. Maintain a safe environment and work in a constant state of alertness.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Missouri Division of Professional Registration
- Registered Nurse (RN) Issued by Compact State
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Oklahoma Board of Nursing (OBN)
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services
