Job Summary
Assess, plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care for surgical patients by accepting assignments and conducting comprehensive assessments using subjective and objective data. Communicate effectively with patients to evaluate their understanding of procedures, involve families in care plans, and document responses to interventions. Administer medications and treatments per policy, provide timely updates to physicians, and perform post-operative calls while maintaining a safe environment. Apply evidence-based practice to meet age-specific clinical needs and make competent clinical decisions involving management when necessary. Work in a constant state of alertness, utilizing full sensory capabilities for communication, observation, and data entry.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing
