Job Summary

Provide pre-procedure and post-procedure care to patients undergoing cardiac cath lab, electrophysiology lab, interventional radiology, neuro interventional radiology, radiology, and infusion services. Efficiently complete admission processes including medical history, assessment, IV start, medication reconciliation, and procedure preparation. Coordinate admission care and direct patient care for elective admissions with physicians, scheduling, and ancillary departments. Monitor patients in the post-procedure area, provide discharge instructions, and assist coworkers to ensure adequate attention for all patients. Establish positive relationships with patients, families, and vendors while promoting teamwork for productivity and safety goals. Serve a culturally and linguistically diverse population with 70% of time sitting and 30% standing or walking, reporting to the ACU Manager.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Arkansas Registered Nurse License or a state that has enacted the RN NLC
  • BLS certification
  • ACLS certification (within 3 months)
  • PALS certification (obtained within 6 months of hire or transfer to department)
  • Annual dysrhythmia certification
  • Minimum of one year of previous nursing experience
