Job Summary
Registered Nurse - Ambulatory (Cardiology) delivers age-specific care using the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Responsibilities include conducting patient interviews, reviewing charts, assessing GI/cardiovascular/respiratory/renal/neurological status, mobility and skin conditions, documenting health status and care plans, coordinating with physicians and health-team members, and guiding the patient-care unit team. Demonstrates leadership and clinical judgment in coordinating patient care, directing activities, and ensuring safety; collaborates with care team; administers treatments and medications correctly; educates patients and families; participates in discharge planning and referrals; documents outcomes and engages in performance improvement efforts. Requires NYS RN license and 4+ years in Cardiology/Telemetry preferred. Location: Manhasset, NY (ambulatory/Cardiology setting) with full-time schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, preferred.
- Must be enrolled in an accredited BSN program within two (2) years and obtain a BSN Degree within five (5) years of job entry date.
- Current License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
- 4+ years of RN experience in Cardiology/Telemetry preferred.
