Job Summary

Coordinate and perform various nursing care procedures for patients of all ages, including inhalation therapy, catheterization, dressing changes, venipuncture, and IV therapy. Develop individualized plans of care in conjunction with primary care providers to maximize healthcare outcomes while documenting observations, interventions, and health teaching. Maintain annual competencies in safety and infection control, proactively identify care delays, and facilitate interdisciplinary referrals to ensure timely patient access.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate or Diploma in Science of Nursing from an accredited school of nursing
  • Licensed in the State of Alaska as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Valid driver's license or capable of obtaining one
  • Insurable by KIC's company insurance
  • Adherence to KIC drug and alcohol policies and procedures
  • Passing a pre-employment and subsequent random and/or for cause drug and alcohol screening
  • Possessing and maintaining eligibility to work in covered programs per P.L. 101-630 (verified via Federal criminal background check)

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • One year of ambulatory or other nursing experience
  • Experience in community clinic
  • Strong commitment to multi-disciplinary teamwork
  • Three years of ambulatory nursing experience
  • ACLS/PALs certification
