Administer chemotherapy, hydration, and medications under physician direction while maintaining disinfection protocols and monitoring patient conditions. Perform venipuncture, access implanted ports, and maintain central lines, including cleaning infusion pumps and documenting usage. Facilitate dose modifications by assessing labs and consulting protocols, then calculate and adjust dosages. Record vital signs, allergies, and medication changes, triage phone calls, and communicate pertinent interventions to the physician. Complete chemotherapy charge forms, ensure preauthorization and consent, and provide patient teaching on home pump use. Maintain accurate nursing assessments, patient teaching, and fluid administration records in the chart.
