Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) position with AgeCare at Jasper Place offering a relocation bonus up to $10,000 to support nursing relocation to rural and select urban communities in British Columbia. Responsible for direct resident care, medication administration, and documentation in accordance with regulatory and internal standards. Provides nursing care to residents with complex, unpredictable, and changing needs; utilizes restricted activities authorized for RN/RPN under the Health Professionals Act; collaborates with families during urgent or emergent situations; mentors other nursing staff; requires current RN registration in the applicable province, experience with seniors and unregulated care providers, and strong communication, critical thinking, and care coordination skills. Required Qualifications
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse in applicable Province/State
- Experience working with seniors and unregulated care providers
- Education and experience in gerontology, rehabilitation, community/complex/long term care an asset
- Strong written and oral communication, critical thinking, care coordination, time management and customer focus skills
- Demonstrated sound clinical knowledge and ability to delegate to unregulated care providers
- Must maintain competencies as per the governing College standards
- Skills in use of computer and Microsoft Office applications
- Current (within 6 months) Vulnerable Position/Sector Screening (VPS)
