Job Summary
Registered Nurse position at AdventHealth Port Charlotte. Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive patient assessments across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors; developing and implementing individualized care plans; administering medications and treatments per physician orders and protocols; educating patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and self-care; coordinating with medical staff to optimize patient care; maintaining accurate documentation; evaluating care effectiveness and participating in performance improvement activities; ensuring infection control and safety standards; providing emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and families; supervising and delegating care within the healthcare team; responding promptly to code situations; and engaging in ongoing professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
- 1+ year acute care hospital experience preferred
