Job Summary
Conduct ongoing patient condition and care delivery evaluations across all units while serving as the administrative liaison between Froedtert South, the public, staff, and physicians. Assign scheduled nursing staff, administer medications and IV treatments safely, and coordinate patient teaching within established timeframes. Respond promptly to emergency situations and calllights, maintain clean work areas, and collaborate with the healthcare team to achieve positive patient outcomes. Actively participate in unit-based Quality Assurance standards and assist in orienting new staff and nursing students.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree: Nursing
- Licensure to be eligible to practice as a Registered Nurse or Graduate Nurse in the State of Wisconsin and/or the State of Illinois based on job location assignment
- The ability to read, write, speak, hear and comprehend the English language
- The physical, technical and cognitive ability, as well as the manual dexterity, to use patient care equipment
- Current BLS and/or CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross or the ability to obtain certification within 90 days of hire
Desired Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years' experience preferred in related field
