Job Summary
Assess, plan, and intervene using the nursing process to meet patient health care needs while administering treatments and medications per the State Nurse Practice Act. Observe and report signs of changing conditions, document observations, and teach patients or caregivers appropriate self-care techniques. Perform LPN and Home Health Aide supervisory visits to evaluate competency and provide instructions. Coordinate patient care with the health care team, maintain data collection systems, and ensure compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA regulations. Notify case managers, physicians, and families of condition changes or potential risk management issues.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Current RN licensure
- Licensed as a RN in the state of practice
- Ability to travel locally in own vehicle
- Valid driver's license
- Appropriate automobile insurance coverage
- Current CPR certification
- Level II Background check through the Agency for Healthcare Administration
