Job Summary
RN Staff Nurse in Extended Care Unit / Acute Med-Surg, responsible for the organization, coordination, and evaluation of direct nursing care; supervise, assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care; administer medications and monitor for reactions; conduct daily patient visits; wound documentation; maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record; review physician orders; participate in interdisciplinary care conferences; coordinate discharge planning and patient/family education; uphold HIPAA and confidentiality; contribute to quality improvement and continuing education.
Required Qualifications
- Valid state license as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Current Basic Life Support/CPR certification
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
- Minimum of three years work experience in direct nursing care (preferred)
- Ability to obtain annual flu vaccination and required immunizations
