Job Summary
Registered Nurse on Acute General Medicine unit at Rochester General Hospital delivers high-quality, patient-centered care across acute illnesses with telemetry, diabetes, kidney disease and dialysis care, and supports psychosocial needs. Responsibilities include initial and ongoing patient assessment, documenting and communicating assessments to the interdisciplinary team, developing and documenting individualized plans of care, ensuring safety and accurate medication administration, and updating plans based on evaluations. The role includes maintaining BLS certification, meeting clinical ladder requirements, and contributing to research activities (CRU forms, CEUs). 36 hours per week, DAY/EVENING/NIGHT with every other weekend and every other holiday; RN level placement determined at hire; required qualifications include an RN license in NY and an ADN/ASN or diploma in nursing. Preferred BSN and additional RN experience. The posted pay range is $38.66-$51.91 hourly with base pay considerations and potential additional components.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing
- Registered Nurse license in New York State
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
