Job Summary
The organization seeks a Registered Nurse to provide age-appropriate, culturally sensitive care for elderly patients in an acute care setting. Responsibilities include coordinating care across settings and among caregivers, educating patients and families about healthy practices and treatment modalities, using the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate care, and demonstrating leadership, collaboration, and continuous quality improvement. The role emphasizes patient-centered care, safety, communication, teamwork, and adherence to regulatory standards and Grady Total Rewards benefits. The candidate must hold an RN license in Georgia, possess BLS certification, and ACLS certification for designated areas, with BSN strongly preferred. The position is full-time, day shift, at Grady Health System’s Main Grady Campus in downtown Atlanta, GA.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred
- Current Georgia RN license required
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) health care provider card required
- ACLS certification required for all listed areas (ECC, GI/Cath Lab, Labor & Delivery, PACU)
- 1+ years' RN experience required
- New Graduate Nurse Residency Program information available for those with less than 1 year of RN experience
