Job Summary
Provides clinical direction for patient care in an acute inpatient setting (Medical/Surgical Nursing) with emphasis on conducting nursing assessments, developing individualized care plans with patient/family, coordinating discharge planning, delegating tasks, and ensuring high-quality, safe care. Demonstrates evidence-based practice, adherence to licensure and organizational policies, and ongoing professional development to maintain competency. May require weekend, holiday, and on-call scheduling; collaboration with interdisciplinary team and prioritization of patient safety and education throughout the care continuum.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Nursing
- RN license (compact/multi-state)
- 1 year RN experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Knowledge of TJC, SC DPH, CMS regulatory requirements
- Ability to work weekend/holiday/on-call as needed
- In lieu of experience, RN residency or LPN experience considered
- Current licensure to practice as RN in state of work
- NCSBN Compact recognition
