Job Summary
Registered Nurse in Acute Care (Family Birthplace) performing clinical direction in an acute inpatient setting with night shift requirements. Responsibilities include nursing assessment, developing and updating individualized care plans in collaboration with patients and families, ensuring discharge planning for continuity of care, delegating tasks, monitoring quality and safety, maintaining compliance with licensure and organizational policies, and participating in performance improvement. Requires ADN with RN licensure; BSN preferred; exceptions for residency programs or LPN internal candidates accepted per postings. The role is based at Blount Memorial Hospital, Maryville, TN, and involves on-call, weekend, and holiday coverage as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Education - Associate degree in Nursing. Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
- Current RN license recognized in state or compact license
- One (1) year experience as a registered nurse
- Ability to meet regulatory requirements (TJC, SC DPH, CMS) and nursing standards
- Knowledge of patient safety, documentation, and discharge planning
- Ability to perform nursing assessments, develop and update care plans, and coordinate care across healthcare team
