Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process, interdisciplinary collaboration, and evidence-based practice. Direct care teams through delegation and coordination while managing time, supplies, and resources to deliver safe interventions. Evaluate patient responses to clinical outcomes and revise care plans as needed. Maintain accurate documentation, adhere to legal and ethical standards, and promote the nursing profession. Requires current RN license, BLS certification, and BSN degree; includes 36 weekly hours on 3/12-hour shifts at Intermountain Health Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
Required Qualifications
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice
- Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Education must be obtained from an accredited institution
- Degree will be verified
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN)
- BSN required as of the job description's last update on 4/27/2025
- Employees hired or promoted prior to this date will be held to the minimum requirements that were in place at the time of their promotion or hire
Desired Qualifications
- RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four (4) years of their hire date
- Med Surg/Stepdown with preferably one year experience
