Job Summary

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process, including physical, social, and psychological status. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans, delegate tasks, and coordinate patient delivery while managing time and resources. Evaluate patient responses to interventions, revise care plans as needed, and ensure accurate, timely documentation of all care activities. Maintain legal and ethical standards, comply with regulatory requirements, and provide therapeutic interventions based on evidence-based practice. Requires current RN license, BLS certification, and ability to lift, move, and ambulate patients in a busy hospital environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice
  • Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment
  • Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN). Education must be obtained from an accredited institution
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required as of the job description's last update on 4/27/2025
  • RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four (4) years of their hire date
  • Must be able to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies
  • Must be able to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately
  • Must have manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy
  • Must be able to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients
  • Must be able to bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment
  • Must be able to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment
  • Must be able to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time
  • Must be able to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles

Desired Qualifications

  • Med Surg/Stepdown with preferably one year experience
