Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process, evidence-based practice, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Direct the care team through delegation and coordination while managing time, supplies, and resources to deliver individualized plans of care. Evaluate patient responses to interventions, revise care plans as needed, and provide accurate, timely documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards. Requires current RN licensure, BLS certification, and ability to perform physical tasks including patient transfers, equipment manipulation, and navigating busy clinical environments. Shifts are 3/12 hours with 36 weekly scheduled hours.
Required Qualifications
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice
- Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN)
- BSN Education must be obtained from an accredited institution
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required as of the job description's last update on 4/27/2025
- Employees hired or promoted prior to this date will be held to the minimum requirements that were in place at the time of their promotion or hire
Desired Qualifications
- RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four (4) years of their hire date
- Med Surg/Stepdown with preferably one year experience
