Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process, evidence-based practice, and technology. Direct interdisciplinary teams through delegation and coordination while managing patient priorities, supplies, and resources. Collaboratively develop individualized care plans with patients, families, and physicians, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with legal and ethical standards. Perform physical assessments, monitor patient responses to interventions, and revise care plans as needed. Requires current RN license, BLS certification, and ability to lift, transfer, and ambulate patients in a busy hospital environment. 36 weekly hours on 3/12 shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice
- Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN). Education must be obtained from an accredited institution
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required as of the job description's last update on 4/27/2025
- RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four (4) years of their hire date
- Must be able to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies
- Must be able to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately
- Must have manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy
- Must be able to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients
- Must be able to bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment
- Must be able to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment
- Must be able to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time
- Must be able to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles
- Must comply with all applicable Intermountain policies and expectations
- Must acknowledge that outside employment or activities may not interfere with job responsibilities or create a conflict of interest with Intermountain
Desired Qualifications
- Med Surg/Stepdown with preferably one year experience
