Job Summary
As a Registered Nurse (RN) in Norwich, NY, you will apply clinical expertise to assess and guide care, support ongoing health and wellness, and train staff in medical best practices. Responsibilities include completing RN evaluations and providing medical care, maintaining and reviewing health information, supervising unlicensed staff in nursing tasks, coordinating with medical professionals to develop care plans, accompanying individuals to appointments, providing medication awareness education, training staff in medication administration and related skills (e.g., CPR, First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens), serving on a rotating on-call basis after hours, ensuring compliance with policy and regulations, and acting as a role model for individuals and staff. The role requires NY RN licensure, a valid driver’s license, and may value experience with intellectually/developmentally disabled populations. The position offers a full-time schedule at 30 hours per week with a competitive benefits package.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed and currently registered as a Registered Nurse by the New York State Department of Education
- A valid driver’s license and driving record
- Experience with intellectually/developmentally disabled preferred
