Job Summary
Registered Nurse position in Broome County, NY, working 30 hours per week with full-time scheduling. Responsibilities include conducting RN evaluations and providing needed medical care, maintaining and reviewing health information, training unlicensed direct care staff in nursing tasks, collaborating with medical professionals to develop and implement individual health care plans, accompanying individuals to medical appointments, providing health-related teaching on medications and devices, training staff in medication administration and related skills (e.g., CPR, First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens), performing medication administration recertification and inspections, investigating medication/health-related incidents, and serving as on-call staff on a rotational basis. Requires NYS RN licensure, ability to coordinate care, and strong collaboration within a team. Required Qualifications
- Must be licensed and currently registered as a Registered Nurse by the New York State Department of Education
- A valid driver’s license and record that meets the agency’s insurance carrier guidelines
- Experience working with intellectually/developmentally disabled is not required but is preferred
