Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care of patients age 65 and older on the night shift, utilizing the nursing process and interdisciplinary collaboration to address physical, cognitive, and psychosocial needs. Direct the care team through delegation and coordination, ensuring accurate documentation, adherence to regulatory standards, and timely response to alarms and emergency situations. Manage patient transfers, ambulation, and equipment handling while maintaining a focus on function, safety, and independence. This role supports a specialized ACE program dedicated to preserving patient autonomy in a close-knit, supportive environment at Good Samaritan Hospital.
Required Qualifications
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice
- Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN). Education must be obtained from an accredited institution. Degree will be verified
- Night Shift
Desired Qualifications
- RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four (4) years of their hire date
