Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care of older adults on the night shift, utilizing the nursing process to address physical, cognitive, and psychosocial needs. Direct the interdisciplinary care team through delegation and collaboration, while coordinating patient care delivery, managing resources, and ensuring accurate documentation. Collaborate with physicians, family members, and volunteer services to develop individualized care plans that promote patient independence and safety. Maintain BLS certification and adhere to legal and ethical standards within the scope of licensure. This role supports a specialized ACE unit in Lafayette, Colorado, focusing on preserving function for patients age 65 and older.
Required Qualifications
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice
- Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN). Education must be obtained from an accredited institution
- Night Shift
Desired Qualifications
- RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four (4) years of their hire date
