Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care of older adults on the night shift using the nursing process, evidence-based practice, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Direct care delivery through delegation and coordination while managing priorities, resources, and patient education. Evaluate patient responses to interventions and revise care plans based on clinical outcomes and family satisfaction. Maintain accurate documentation, ensure legal and ethical compliance, and promote professional growth within a specialized geriatric unit. This role supports a close-knit team focused on preserving function and promoting independence for patients aged 65 and older.
Required Qualifications
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice
- Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN). Education must be obtained from an accredited institution. Degree will be verified
- Night Shift
Desired Qualifications
- RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four (4) years of their hire date
