Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care of patients age 65 and older on the night shift, utilizing the nursing process and evidence-based practice. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians and volunteers, to develop individualized care plans that prioritize function, safety, and patient independence. Direct care delivery through delegation and coordination while ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with legal and ethical standards. Requires current RN licensure, BLS certification, and a BSN degree, with a sign-on bonus available for experienced night-shift candidates. Required Qualifications
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice
- Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN). Education must be obtained from an accredited institution. Degree will be verified
- Night Shift
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy
- Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients
- Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment
- Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items
- Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients
- Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms
- May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time
- Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles
Desired Qualifications
- RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four (4) years of their hire date
- RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four (4) years of their hire date
- If applying for a remote or hybrid role, this includes remote work expectations related to confidentiality, information security, work schedules, conflicts of interest, and use of company equipment
- Actual or reasonably perceived conflicts may be grounds for disqualification from consideration or, if hired, corrective action up to and including termination of employment
- Outside employment or activities may not interfere with job responsibilities or create a conflict of interest with Intermountain
