Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care of older adults with medical and select surgical diagnoses using the nursing process and evidence-based practice. Direct the interdisciplinary care team via delegation and collaboration to coordinate patient care delivery, manage resources, and address physical, cognitive, and psychosocial needs. Evaluate patient response to interventions and revise care plans based on clinical outcomes and family satisfaction. Provide accurate documentation, maintain legal and ethical standards, and ensure patient safety while promoting independence and function. Work night shifts in a specialized Acute Care for the Elderly unit dedicated to preserving patient function.
Required Qualifications
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice
- Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN). Education must be obtained from an accredited institution
- Night- Shift
Desired Qualifications
- RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four (4) years of their hire date
