Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process, interdisciplinary collaboration, and evidence-based practice. Direct the care team through delegation and coordination while managing priorities, supplies, and resources to ensure timely documentation and compliance with legal standards. Provide therapeutic interventions for patients requiring Bipap, heated Hi Flow, and DKA management, including patient education, referrals, and follow-up planning. Work the 12-hour night shift at Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver, performing physical tasks such as transferring patients, ambulating, and operating medical equipment. Maintain accurate records and adhere to Intermountain Health policies and ethical guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice
- Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment
- RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four (4) years of their hire date
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Education must be obtained from an accredited institution
- Degree will be verified
