Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for designated patients while synthesizing data to optimize outcomes. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to resolve patient needs, coordinate family education, and facilitate care transitions. Perform validated technical skills, utilize technology for care delivery, and participate in evidence-based practice and performance improvement projects. Mentor new colleagues, delegate based on team member skills and patient acuity, and provide input for performance appraisals. Maintain clinical competency and a safe work environment in accordance with facility policies.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Nursing program
- Knowledge and competence that reflects current nursing practice
- Ability to organize and prioritize assignments in the delivery of patient care
- Successful completion of additional orientation programs related to specialty
- Attainment and maintenance of unit-specific competencies
- Basic computer skills
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support
- State of Pennsylvania RN - Licensed Registered Nurse_PA - State of Pennsylvania
- Lift and carry 40-50 lbs
- Frequent to continuous standing/walking
- Patient transporters can walk 8-10 miles per shift
- Activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR
- Sunday-Saturday; 0700-1930; rotating weekends and holidays
