Job Summary
Manage patient care in the 8E Observation Unit, assessing conditions, administering medications, changing dressings, and monitoring vital signs for stays averaging 24 hours. Provide support and education to patients and families while documenting records to determine readiness for discharge or inpatient transfer. Coordinate seamless transitions between the emergency department, wards, and outpatient facilities within a multi-tasking environment. Requires an active Missouri RN license and BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program
- RN license active in the state of Missouri
- BLS must be obtained within 90 days of hire
