Job Summary
Manage patient care in the 8E Observation Unit, assessing conditions, administering medications, changing dressings, and monitoring vital signs. Deliver personalized, goal-directed nursing care to patients requiring monitoring, diagnostic evaluations, therapy, and assessment to determine inpatient treatment necessity or discharge readiness. Maintain comprehensive medical records and provide support and education to patients and families. Coordinate seamless transitions between the emergency department, inpatient wards, and outpatient facilities. Requires an active Missouri RN license, BLS within 90 days, and a Bachelor's degree preferred. Work 36 hours daily from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- RN license active in the state of Missouri
- BLS must be obtained within 90 days of hire
- Previous nursing experience
