Job Summary
Per diem Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides holistic nursing care to incarcerated patients at Desoto Correctional Institution in Arcadia, FL under the direction of RNs and medical/psychiatric staff. Responsibilities include responding to a range of physical and behavioral health needs, delivering care within the appropriate scope of practice, and supporting the healthcare team on 12-hour shifts. Requires an LPN license (or ability to obtain one), CPR certification, and the ability to obtain required security clearance; and may involve working with Centurion Health to deliver correctional healthcare services.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license or ability to obtain one
- Active CPR certification
- Ability to obtain security clearance, including drug screen and criminal background check
