Job Summary
Provide excellent, clinically competent patient care by utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, collect data, make interpretations, and administer medications while verifying orders. Initiate and update standards of care, plan discharge, and document patient care per hospital policy. Supervise LPN and UAP staff, review data collection, and implement modified plans of care. Respond to emergency situations, recognize limitations, and solicit feedback from patients and visitors. Participate in quality improvement activities, adhere to infection control guidelines, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Work 12-hour shifts for inpatient staff; specialty units may differ. Requires Virginia RN licensure and minimum one year of acute care experience. Preferred BSN degree.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a Registered Nurse licensed in the State of Virginia or a compact state
- 12-hour shifts for inpatient staff

- Demonstrates a commitment to flexible work scheduling when necessary to ensure patient care
Desired Qualifications
