Job Summary
Conduct thorough assessments, care planning, and direct nursing care using the biopsychosocial model to optimize resident independence. Provide workplace coaching, guidance, and supervision to carers, assistant nurses, and enrolled nurses while modeling professional conduct. Ensure strict adherence to workplace health and safety, infection control, and safe work practices. Submit written and verbal reports on the social, physical, and emotional well-being of residents to collaborate on quality outcomes. Requires current AHPRA registration, clinical nursing proficiency, and aged care knowledge. Morning, afternoon, and night shifts available across North Brisbane facilities.
Required Qualifications
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
- Demonstrated proficiency in clinical nursing practice
- Understanding of contemporary nursing theory
- Understanding of care documentation models
- Generalist registered nursing experience
- Knowledge of aged care
- Ability to rapidly acquire a sound understanding of appropriate aged care legislated standards
- Relevant probity checks as required by legislation and WMQ policy
- Proof of Vaccination Status as required by Legislation, Health Directives or WMQL Policy
Desired Qualifications
- Generalist registered nursing experience with knowledge of aged care – Highly desirable
