Job Summary
Conduct day-to-day operations of the Inpatient Nursing unit by assigning work, providing real-time coaching, and rewarding staff while addressing patient needs. Collaborate with departmental managers and directors to aid in the development, implementation, utilization, and maintenance of unit functions. Serve as a preceptor and mentor for nursing staff, maintaining current and active status on all required trainings including BLS, ACLS, and Basic Dysrhythmia. Requires an Associate Degree in Nursing and active Iowa nursing license, with preferred experience in acute medical care and adult education. Schedule includes 36 hours per week from 7:00am to 7:30pm every other weekend.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Nursing
- Registered Nursing licensed in the State of Iowa
- Maintains current and active status on all required trainings and education as outlines by corporate policy
- BLS/ACLS/Basic Dysrhythmia Certified
- Required experience as preceptor and mentor for nursing staff
Desired Qualifications
- Prefer 2-5 years of experience in area of Acute Medical Care
- Prefer 2-5 years of experience in providing adult education
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
- Board Certified in nursing education, professional nursing development, or acute care preferred
