Job Summary
Registered Nurse at Central Regional Hospital (DSOHF) in Butner, NC, serving specialized justice-involved treatment units within state psychiatric hospitals. Responsibilities include independently planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans; administering and managing medications; documenting and communicating care information clearly; responding to emergencies; and providing psychiatric mental-health care to patients with complex mental health, substance use, developmental, and neuro-medical needs. Qualifications include CPR within 60 days and CPI APS certification, with a valid North Carolina driver’s license. Sign-on bonus available for eligible nursing roles, disbursed in installments after start date and at defined intervals.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina
- Minimum education as required by board/licensing rules (licensure must be obtained prior to beginning employment)
- Experience with planning, implementing and evaluating patient care plans (preferred)
- Knowledge of medications and physiological effects of medications
- Ability to communicate information clearly (verbal, written, or demonstration)
- Ability to respond to emergency situations
- Advanced Physical Skills (APS) certification through CPI and CPR certification within 60 days
