Job Summary
Order, administer, and manage medications and controlled substances through off-grounds partnered pharmacies while monitoring student changes and side effects. Assist with case management and care coordination by planning appointments, supporting students in preparation, and acting as a liaison with community physicians. Monitor overall wellness, follow implemented care plans, and provide health education. Communicate health concerns and medical incidents to the Director of Nursing, clinicians, and other support staff. Transport to and attend appointments when necessary, prepare medications for off-grounds trips and home visits, and maintain general office inventory. Provide orientation and in-service training to staff and students as needed. Requires a Massachusetts nursing license, driver's license, and CPR/CPI certification. Full-time Monday-Friday schedule with flexibility for evening and weekend coverage; late-night shift once weekly.
Required Qualifications
- Massachusetts nursing license
- Driver's license with clean driving record
- CPR and CPI certification
- Monday-Friday 40 hours with flexibility to rotate evening and weekend coverage
- Holds a late-night shift once a week (until 6:30pm)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in an inpatient psychiatry unit, a therapeutic school, and/or with autism/youth with disabilities
