Job Summary
Under the direction of the Nurse Leader, provide direct and indirect patient care while delegating duties and directing staff in care delivery. Collaborate with medical staff and physicians regarding changes in clinical conditions, diagnostic results, and symptomatology, responding quickly to shifts in patient status or treatment response. Ensure appropriate resource utilization and maintain positive interpersonal relationships through effective communication and problem resolution. Perform general nursing duties across all departments with adequate supervision while accurately documenting patient information. This safety-sensitive position requires constant alertness and basic proficiency in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care. Weekend and holiday shifts are required.
Required Qualifications
- Variable shifts including, nights, weekends, and holidays, depending on unit need
- Weekend and holiday shifts are required
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Graduate from an accredited nursing school program required
- Technical in Nursing required
- Basic proficiency in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care
- Adequate verbal and written communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Capacity to collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals
- Basic competency in documenting patient information accurately
- Basic flexibility to adapt to changes in patient conditions and unit priorities
- Attention to detail
- 1-2 years of clinical experience, particularly in an acute care setting preferred
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
- Proficiency in electronic documentation preferred
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills preferred
