Job Summary
The Registered Nurse 2 provides direct nursing care in a clinical or unit setting, directs patient care activities by interpreting and implementing healthcare policies and standards, manages patient assessments and triage, and ensures optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities include supervising support staff, educating patients and families, leading nursing care plan development, infection control training, HIPAA-compliant documentation, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to maintain regulatory compliance and high-quality care. Proficiency with EMR systems (e.g., EPIC) and strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills are required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Two years’ experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut or eligible for Connecticut licensure
- Current CPR certification
