Job Summary
Provides direct nursing care in a clinical or unit setting according to established procedures, protocols, and scope of nursing practice standards. Directs patient care activities by interpreting and implementing healthcare policies and standards, manages patient assessments and triage, and ensures optimal patient outcomes. Leads multidisciplinary clinical teams, supervises support staff, ensures compliance with regulations, and supports patient education, safety initiatives, and infection control. Develops and manages nursing care plans in collaboration with physicians, while maintaining patient confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines and coordinating with healthcare teams to deliver high-quality care.
Required Qualifications
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut or eligible for Connecticut licensure
- Current CPR certification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and two years’ experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
