Job Summary
Registered Nurse 2 – Stem Cell Transplant unit delivers patient-family centered care in a culturally competent manner, supervising nurses and allied staff. Responsibilities include assessing patients, documenting plans, evaluating diagnostics, collaborating with physicians, preparing for procedures, administering medications, ensuring regulatory compliance (HIPAA), coordinating discharge planning, prioritizing assignments, adapting to changing demands, and serving as a preceptor to new staff to facilitate acclimation to the healthcare environment. Requires BSN preferred and Florida RN licensure with ACLS/BLS certification; minimum 2 years nursing experience. The role is full-time within a university-based health system.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- Florida Registered Nurse License
- ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
- BSN preferred (or ASN with 2 years to complete the BSN)
- Experience in coordinating patient care and mentoring/precepting staff
