Job Summary
Assess patients with behavioral health and psychiatric conditions and develop individualized nursing care plans. Administer medications, treatments, and therapeutic interventions while monitoring patient status and documenting care in the EMR. Respond to psychiatric crises using de-escalation techniques, facilitate therapeutic groups, and educate patients on diagnoses and coping strategies. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to promote patient safety and recovery. Work full-time nights shifts (7p-7:30a) at Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital, a mission-driven organization focused on compassionate care and clinical excellence.
Required Qualifications
- current and valid State license as a Registered Nurse
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current
- Working knowledge of Mental Health Laws and practice standards
- Working knowledge of interdisciplinary treatment team process, behavioral health programming and daily nursing functions for inpatient and outpatient behavioral health units
- Working knowledge of the continuum of care for behavioral health care
