Job Summary
Assess patients with behavioral health conditions and develop individualized nursing care plans. Administer medications, therapeutic interventions, and respond to psychiatric crises using de-escalation techniques. Monitor patient status, document care in the EMR, and facilitate therapeutic groups while educating patients and families on treatment plans and discharge strategies. Implement seclusion and restraint procedures per policy when clinically indicated and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to promote patient safety and recovery. Work full-time night shifts (7p-7:30a) at Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital, a mission-driven organization committed to compassionate care and community impact.
Required Qualifications
- current and valid State license as a Registered Nurse
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current
- Working knowledge of Mental Health Laws and practice standards
- Working knowledge of interdisciplinary treatment team process, behavioral health programming and daily nursing functions for inpatient and outpatient behavioral health units
- Working knowledge of the continuum of care for behavioral health care
