Job Summary
Assess, prioritize, and triage patients with acute illness, injury, and life-threatening conditions using established clinical protocols. Provide emergency nursing care, administer medications and IV therapies, and operate life-support equipment while monitoring patient status and communicating changes to the team. Collaborate with physicians, EMS, and the interdisciplinary care team to assist with trauma care and stabilization, and educate patients and families on diagnoses and discharge instructions. Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record and promote patient safety. Requires a current state RN license, BLS, ACLS, and PALS/ENPC certifications within 30 days of hire, plus one year of acute care ER experience. Preferred qualifications include CEN certification, BSN, and TNCC for trauma facilities. Full-time night shifts (7p-7:30a) with a $10,000 sign-on bonus available.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid state RN License
- Current BLS certificate
- Current ACLS certificate
- Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC
- Basic Arrythmia Interpretation
- Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting
- MICN within 12 months of hire (for Paramedic Base Station ED)
- Completion of emergency pediatric course 1 and 2 within 6 months of hire (for EDAP certified facilities)
- NRP certificate 90 days upon hire (for Non-OB facilities)
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) within 12 months of hire (for Trauma designated facilities)
