Job Summary
Operates nuclear SPECT camera and computer systems to produce scans for evaluation by trained physicians. Administers radiopharmaceutical preparations, stores and disposes of radioactive and radiopharmaceutical materials per guidelines, and maintains records of receipt, storage, use, and disposal. Positions and transfers patients, providing immobilization devices if necessary. Performs procedures and exams within the Nuclear Medicine Department and ensures regulatory compliance. Requires high school diploma or equivalency, completed nuclear technologist training, ARRT RT(N) certification, and 1-3 years of experience as a nuclear medicine technologist. Part-time role with 45 hours bi-weekly; on-site at Far Rockaway, NY.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or Equivalency required
- Satisfactory completion of formal Nuclear Technologist training in an approved school required
- ARRT RT(N) Certification required
- 1-3 years' experience as a nuclear medicine technologist
